Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I want to take this time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. This Christmas I will be the first for my youngest daughter who joined our family in Feb. 2010. The excitement of a new child and the fun of having a 5 year old hoping she gets all that she wants from Santa.

Fall Favorites

It's been awhile since I've done a blog so here I am. October begins in just a couple days. Fall colors, cooler temperatures (although we've had Oct. weather in Sept.) and Halloween. This is one of my favorites months of the year. The brat fries go away and chili dinners start. The downfall for me of course is the winter months are straight ahead. What is your favorite activity to do in Oct? I love taking my kids trick or treating. I still have the kid in me and like to take my share of their candy. I also love taking one nice Saturday afternoon and taking a drive to an area where I can see the fall colors. Whatever you like to do. Enjoy the month!

NFC North Predictions

The Pre-Season is now over and it is prediction time. My NFC North predictions include:

1. Packers 12-4
2. Vikings 10-6
3. Lions 7-9
4. Bears 6-10

Some side notes : Aaron Rodgers finishes second in the NFL MVP voting
#4 out of Minnesota will miss his first game the season with an injury.

PGA Championship

It is going to be a fun week in our area as all eyes point to Sheboygan and the PGA Championship. The players are already in town warming up getting ready for the start on Thurs. This event maybe bigger this year than some of the others because of a lot of media attention will be focused on Tiger Woods and his struggles. You can never count Tiger out of a major tournament and will have something to prove after shooting his highest score ever last weekend.

The spolight this week is on Whistling Straits and Eastern Wisconsin. I will be watching the tournament with great pride of being from this year. Will you be watching?

Hot Dog Eating

For the 4th consecutive year Joey Chestnut won the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating contest held on July 4th at Coney Island, NY. Joey downed 54 hot dogs to take the title. This is the 95th year the contest has been taking place and always gets a lot of publicity.

Another popular eating champion Takeru Kobayashi did not compete this year in the contest but was a spectator at the event and later tried to rush the stage and was arrested.

Nothing like a little excitement in competative eating!

Happy Father's Day

Are you a Father? Did you spend the day with your Dad? Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there. As a dad of two girls I spent the weekend with them. We went camping on Saturday night. They took me out for a nice dinner and an evening bon fire. Sunday went spent the day hanging out playing in the yard. It was a great day to be a dad!

American Idol Finale

So what did you think of the American Idol Finale last week. I was happy to see Lee win. He has a bright future ahead of him and I loved his reaction at the end. BUT, the show as a whole was very disappointing. I think the two highlights were the appearance of Brett Michaels and the tribute to Simon when all the previous winners and contenstants were on stage. I was not impressed by the Michael McDonald, Chicago, Janet Jackson or Alice Cooper. A lot of artist that are past their prime. What were your impressions?

Now American Idol will have a new chaper post-Simon Cowell. How will it end?

Unofficial Start to Summer

Well they say the unofficial start to summer begins Memorial Day weekend. Well this year the unofficial start to summer begins a week early. Upper 80's to near 90's expected all week long. I know a lot of people complain of the heat and humdity. I use to as well. But as I get older the more I enjoy the warmer weather over the cold. I am looking forward to this warm weather and welcoming in summer. Don't forget our 107 days of summer here on K107.1.

Baby Born

At 1:20pm this afternoon a new daughter was added to my family with the birth of Emily Ann weighing in at 5lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long. She is a little one. Mom and baby are doing great and thanks to all the well wishers out there. Back on the air Monday.

Baby Check Up

It's Tuesday and still no baby. Went for a check up with the Dr. today and things are progressing. Looks like I will be off air the rest of the week so keep checking back for updates on my blog.

Baby Week

The first week in February is here. Also the due date of my second child is coming up on Saturday Feb. 6th. All this week I am going to blog my experince and let you know what is going on. Will it be a boy or will it be a girl? I will keep you informed so keep checking back.

2010 Predictions

Happy New Year and welcome to 2010. Now that a new year and decade are upon us, I thought I would give you some of my 2010 Predictions:

1. Brett Favre will FINALLY retire.

2. Simon Cowell will leave American Idol and the hit Fox show will fold.

3. Our country will be hit with a major disaster (ie: earthquake, hurricane, volcano, etc.)

4. Doug Melvin will be on the hot seat as Brewers GM two years after leading the team to the playoffs.

5. Tiger Woods will come back to golf and win 2 majors this year.

6. Packers will win NFC North
