Proud to be an American
I think this week we can all say we are "Proud to be an American." After the events of the weekend when the United States took out Osama Bin Ladin the face of the War on Terror the country has once again come together similar to the aftermath of 9/11. Thanks to the courageous efforts of the Navy Seals and our military we beat BIN LADIN and revenge was oh so sweet.
Thanks to all the men and women who have fought this war and our hearts continue to be with the friends and families of those people lost in the 9/11 attacks.

Warm Weather
Let me start by saying I love warm weather. Today by far the warmest day of the year and it was fantastic. Had fun enjoying sometime outdoors washing the truck and playing the kids. Summer brings fun times for me. I enjoy going camping, bon fires in the neighborhood, fishing and just being outdoors. I know summer is still far off but a day like today gives me hopes in the months to come!

NCAA Tournament
Tomorrow starts the second round of the NCAA tournament or in my words the first round that matters. Do you have your NCAA Tournament brackets filled out and ready to go. Here is my prediction for the Final 4.
Ohio State vs. Duke
Notre Dame vs. BYU
Ohio State over Notre Dame in the Championship
Some people same I am a homer going with a Big Ten team. But I feel this could be the year and Ohio State is for real.

World Champion Green Bay Packers
Wow, I love the sound of that! Congrats to the Packers and bringing back the Lombardi Trophy to where it belongs....Titletown!
1996 seems like a distant memory but I do remember the excitement of seeing my first Super Bowl Champion from Green Bay. The 2011 Super Bowl Champions seem so much different and more satisfying as a Packer Fan. First, all the injuries they've had to work with this season. This was a team that almost didn't make the playoffs. They came together and gave us a great run. 3 years ago we had to go through the Brett Favre saga. I admire what Brett did in his career with Green Bay but was happy to see Aaron Rodgers match his level with Super Bowls in only his 3rd season as starter.
I believe good things are in the future of this team. A lot to build off and a possible REPEAT!

Super Bowl Prediction

Packer Pride
No matter the outcome of this weekends Packers/Falcons Divisonal Playoff mathup or if the Packers go to or win the Super Bowl or not you should have pride in what this team has accomplished and given us fans this season.
Consider this: The Packers have been loaded with injuries which has been well documented. But take a look back at a season that gave the Packers a record of 10-6 and how many of those teams are still in the playoffs.
Of the original 5 playoff teams (other than the Packers), they played 3 of those teams in the regular season: Philadelphia, Atlanta and Chicago.
Of the 7 teams in the NFL playoffs (other than the Packers) this weekend, they played 4 of those teams in the regular season: Atlanta, Chicago, New England, New York Jets.
The strength of schedule on top of the injuries and to be in the position they are at this point in the season should make all Packer fans proud win or lose. Go PACK!!!!!

2011 New Year Predictions
Last year I gave my predictions for the New Year. I did okay and got a few correct. So decided to put a stab at a 2nd annual New Year Predictions and here you go:
1. New England Patriots win the Super Bowl over Atlanta Falcons
2. Milwaukee Brewers win the NL Central for an All Star season from Zach Greinke
3. The economy will finally turn around and show signs of strength. Unemployment goes down to 9 percent.
4. Lindsay Lohan appears as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.
5. The new judges on American Idol are NOT a hit and the series folds. (I know I mentioned it would fold last year but it will happen soon.)
I will be honest this year was a lot more difficult so we will see at the end of the year how I did.
